Description
In this engaging discussion, Carey Roth Bayer, EdD, RN, CSE, speaks with three faculty development experts on how to best include the health care needs of people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender nonconforming, and/or born with differences of sex development into faculty development activities. Panelists discuss how internal and external factors can influence faculty success in incorporating LGBT and DSD content, tips and effective strategies for including and developing this content, how to overcome the systematic barriers that may be encountered when attempting to include this material, and evidence-based teaching methods faculty can employ to promote learners' understanding of these issues.
