    In this video, Jaeyoung Yang, a medical student at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, discusses his experience as a project manager at the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers. The coalition works with healthcare providers, hospitals, and physician practices to improve the care and coordination of healthcare for Camden residents while decreasing costs. Mr. Yang provides an overview of the coalition’s services and discusses opportunities available through the coalition to medical students interested in gaining additional experience working with underserved populations.

    Learning Objectives:

    • To identify the health disparities affecting local populations.
    • To identify how diversity and collaboration with community groups have increased the quality of healthcare.
    • To identify learning programs, and the benefits of said programs, that bridge the gap between healthcare providers and patients.
