Recommendations from the Coalition for Physician Accountability
In April 2021, the Coalition for Physician Accountability issued recommendations that limit away rotations to one rotation opportunity per specialty per student. Are these guidelines still in place for the upcoming 2022 away rotations/electives?
The AAMC is not recommending restrictions for 2022 away rotations. This is in alignment with decisions by other organizations in the Coalition.

2. Limiting Students' Ability to Apply to Electives Abroad
In case of a disruption in operations, Home institutions may temporarily restrict the ability of their students to access and apply for elective opportunities abroad.
