The Constructing Optimal Learning Environments Collection includes timely and freely accessible materials to support medical schools and academic health systems working to develop learning environments where:
- Everyone feels included, valued, and respected for their contributions.
- Individuals’ specific needs and circumstances are considered to ensure equal access to opportunities.
- Students and faculty of all socioeconomic backgrounds, religions, races, ethnicities, and ages, among other attributes, can thrive and best serve patients and communities of all backgrounds.
All resources support implementation of at least one of the competencies included in the AAMC’s “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Competencies Across the Learning Continuum.”
