Pittsburgh Organization of Health Professional Students

We're a coalition of medical students from Pittsburgh moved to help our colleagues on the clinical frontlines. We are medical students from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, LECOM, PCOM, Drexel School of Medicine, Temple School of Medicine, Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, and more! With approximately 100 members, we have been working primarily on PPE initiatives here in Pittsburgh by working directly with the Allegheny County Medical Society and an engineering group called PPE Connect PGH. We've been working on crowdsourcing PPE donations and funds to purchase PPE, helping the medical society prioritize requests made by frontline healthcare workers, assisting in mask fit testing for physicians, and delivering PPE! We're also working to provide childcare and other services within the community and actively staying in touch with UPMC and Allegheny Health Network to monitor need for services.
