Outpatient Management of COVID-19

Description

The Ohio State University Center for Continuing Medical Education developed a freely available webcast, “Outpatient Management of COVID-19”. The stated objectives are to:

  • Identify the appropriate timing to discontinue isolation
  • Identify the key resources needed at the time of discharge
  • Prepare primary care offices for patient management of patients during the COVID-19 crisis
  • Manage COVID-19 patients not needing hospitalization
  • Understand the basic diagnostic approach to COVID-19 patients
  • Describe testing strategies for pandemic scenarios and consider the challenges associated with them
  • Identify practical home isolation recommendations for persons with COVID-19 
  • Describe effective cleaning and disinfection within the home of a person with COVID-19
