"OH STAT, I just made a BIG mistake! What now?" an Anesthesiology Problem Based Learning Discussion (PBLD)

This Problem Based Learning Discussion is designed to walk the discussion group through a hypothetical clinical case where a bad outcome occurs. The learners are presented with a scenario where multiple factors contribute to an error. As the case unfolds, the learners are challenged to identify unconscious biases that may impact how they react to an error. The learners are then prompted to use the sample case as a framework for a post-incident debrief using a "Fishbone" diagram and tasked with generating SMART recommendations to improve the system and prevent future errors.
