Managing the Acutely Unstable Patient: Course Guide

Description

This upper-level course was designed to provide senior medical students with opportunities to learn and deploy advanced acute management knowledge and skills in a diverse set of patient populations. Students were engaged in simulation sessions and case discussions designed around multiple environments, such as undifferentiated ED patients and rapid response patients on a medical floor. Scenarios and lectures were built around topics including toxicology, trauma, and pediatric emergency medicine, and delivered by content experts.
