Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – Public Health Emergency Law (PHEL) Online Training

Description

PHEL consists of three competency-based units and covers legal issues to consider before, during, and after public health emergencies. 

  1. Unit 1 – Introduction to Emergency Management Systems Preparedness and Response
  2. Unit 2 – Emergency Powers: Protection of Persons, Volunteers, and Responders
  3. Unit 3 – Emergency Powers: Management and Protection of Property and Supplies

Each interactive unit takes about forty minutes to an hour to complete for a total of roughly 3 hours.
