We are pleased to present the recording for the “Understanding State Authorization in the Context of Medical Education” webinar, hosted by the Group on Student Affairs-Committee on Student Records (GSA-COSR). Record on March 31, 2016.
According to a survey by the State Higher Education Executive Officers Association, the State Authorization regulation can be triggered by clinical rotations (externships), online courses, recruitment/advertising and other educational activities that occur outside of a school’s home state. This webinar will educate staff in medical schools about the regulation; inform schools about the AAMC's advocacy work around this issue; and explore potential impacts to the medical education community.
