    GFP Membership Benefits & Professional Development Opportunities

    The AAMC recognizes the clinical mission is critical and has taken steps to bring together leaders of practice plans and other institutional leaders to support their efforts, and to find way to transform their institutions to meet the challenges of providing health care as delivery and payment systems are changing.

    Upcoming Meetings

    Every spring, the GFP meets with the Chief Medical Officers' Group (CMOG). Meeting with other practice plan executives, as well as chief medical officers will provide you with unique opportunities for networking and to explore issues of mutual concern. Registration for the 2024 CMOG & GFP Joint Spring Meeting is open!     Advocacy

    On both the legislative and regulatory side, AAMC staff work to ensure that the voice of academic medicine is heard in Washington. Staff also keeps GFP members updated about major legislative and regulatory initiatives through its weekly newsletter, Washington Highlights. Additionally, webinars are regularly help to inform and engage members on the latest regulatory items that affect faculty practice plans.

    GFP Listserv

    Do you have a question where insights from your peers would be helpful? GFP members have access to a listserv to help members share information on topics related to your roles and institutions.     GFP Biweekly Newsletter

    GFP members receive the GFP Biweekly Newsletter every other Monday. The newsletter provides brief updates and links to more detailed information about AAMC advocacy initiatives, professional development opportunities, and timely resources. Registration information for upcoming webinars and meetings is also included.     Executive Compensation Survey

    The AAMC GFP Executive Compensation Survey assists faculty practice plans with understanding compensation and job descriptions for various senior executives employed by practice plans. The AAMC provides a copy of the report to respondents and other AAMC constituents.

    Clinical Practice Solutions Center (CPSC)

    The natural evolution of more than 20 years of collaboration between the AAMC and Vizient, the new CPSC creates one solution for medical practices of all sizes. CPSC was designed to be a comprehensive resource for academic practice management benchmarking by having the best features of organizations' historical reporting initiatives and by expanding activity to meet critical gaps in the academic practice community's management data needs. CPSC includes data in the areas of physician clinical productivity, departmental financial and operational management, and the practice plan billing office.
