Communications Committee
The Communications Committee is charged with identifying tools and developing an inventory of resources to assist MD-PhD program directors and administrators. In addition, the committee will recommend appropriate avenues to increase the visibility of MD-PhD programs and propose to the group Steering Committee a communications plan that is based on the existing MD-PhD Section website, as well as other methods of information dissemination.

Data Collection and Analysis Committee
The Data Collection and Analysis Committee charge includes developing an inventory of existing data resources, recommending new data gathering data efforts in support of the Section, and recommending to the Section Steering Committee appropriate methods and vehicles for disseminating related data and analyses in order to assist MD-PhD programs in their program management, recruitment, and advising functions.
The Data Collection and Analysis Committee is charged with:
- Developing an inventory of existing data related to MD-PhD program applicants, matriculants, and graduates, as well as MD-PhD programs and their faculty. Such an inventory should include data from the AAMC, the National Institues of Health (NIH), and other sources.
- Suggesting how existing data gathering efforts can be enhanced and made consistent in order to facilitate longitudinal analyses.
- Recommending new data gathering efforts in support of the Section and the AAMC's program, services, and advocacy agenda.
- Recommending uniform institutional data gathering instruments that will allow for national data standardization and presentation.
- Consulting with the NIH on how to best meet their programmatic data needs.
- Recommending to the Section Steering Committee appropriate methods and vehicles for disseminating related data and analyses in order to assist MD-PhD programs in their program management, recruitment, and advising functions.
