On Monday, March 16, 2020, AAMC hosted a webinar on COVID-19 for clinical leaders at academic medical centers (AMCs) to discuss the practical implementation of the most recent Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and receive updates from key governmental agencies regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. The webinar included a presentation sharing University of Washington's recent experiences on the frontlines of the COVID-19 outbreak and provided key takeaways for planning your local responses. Leaders from the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) provided up-to-date information on issues of vital importance for academic medical centers. After the brief presentations, speakers addressed questions and engaged in an open discussion.
