The southern region was delighted to get to celebrate our graduating students as well as welcome our newest representatives in the most recent GSA/OSR spring meeting. At the Regional meeting, we also had the opportunity to discuss and brainstorm some of the unique challenges that medical students have faced over the last year. We are thankful for all of our regional delegates who have continued to work both within the region and within their committees on a national level to promote activity in their respective domains. The SOSR is excited about projects in store and we are looking forward to collaborating with other groups within the AAMC to continue to advance academic medicine. All members of the southern region OSR are encouraged not only to bring forward concerns and potential projects to the group but also to apply for regional and national delegate positions!
