    Financial Information, Resources, Services, and Tools (FIRST) for FAOs
    FIRST is designed to help members of the academic medicine community navigate the complexities of student financial aid and to provide educational materials to Financial Administrators and Students.

    FIRST for Students and Residents
    Financial aid resources, including informational fact sheets on a variety of financial aid-related topics. These fact sheets are designed to shorten often confusing or complex topics to the basics.

    AAMC Financial Wellness Program
    It’s a free, online, financial education resource, that provides a variety of financial topics to help students, residents, and practicing physicians become more financially savvy.

    The MedLoans™ Organizer and Calculator (MLOC) Tool
    Organize and track your loans, then view sample repayment scenarios with the MLOC, the only web tool of its kind developed for medical students.

    Fee Assistance Program
    The AAMC Fee Assistance Program assists those who, without financial assistance, would be unable to take the Medical College Admission Test® (MCAT®) exam, apply to medical schools that use the American Medical College Application Service® (AMCAS®) application, and more.

    Publications, Guides and Handbooks

    GSA Member Handbook (Sign In Required)
    A comprehensive online resource for GSA members that includes handbooks for the Admissions Officer, the Financial Aid Officer, the Student Affairs Officer, the Student Diversity Affairs, and the Student Records Administrator. The new resource also includes handbooks for the regional groups, as well as AAMC services and initiatives, GSA organizational structure, GSA representatives roles and responsibilities, and contact information for AAMC staff. The GSA will continue to evaluate and refresh the resources available to you and welcomes your feedback.

    Databases

    Medical School Profile System (MSPS) (Sign In Required)
    Used to access LCME 1b Data Reports, the Medical School Profile System (MSPS) is a database and reporting system designed to enable users to view and create benchmarking reports, access surveys, and download data at their convenience. The data available on MSPS are derived from AAMC and LCME Annual Medical School Questionnaires that are completed by each medical school.

    Loan Repayment/Forgiveness/Scholarship and Other Programs
    A searchable, state and federal loan repayment, loan forgiveness, and scholarship database that provides detailed information about many programs available to medical and other health professions students.
