GSA Student Records Listserve

The GSA-Student Records Listserve is an electronic listserve of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Group on Student Affairs (GSA). This listserve provides the opportunity for GSA members to share ideas with or query colleagues regarding specific (often technical) issues of interest to the medical school student records community.

To subscribe to the GSA-Student Records, send an email to For subscription requests please list the following in the body of the email:

GSA-Student Records is a private, unmoderated listserve available to Institutional GSA Student Records Representatives, Individual GSA Student Records Members, Affiliate GSA Student Records Members, and anyone else interested in joining.

Rules and Etiquette

Appropriate professional etiquette in GSA-Student Records messages is expected of all subscribers. Since subscribers will, at times, post information of a sensitive nature to GSA-Student Records, they should exercise personal and professional judgment in forwarding specific GSA-Student Records messages to their administrative staff members who are not subscribers.

Any message containing forwarded materials should be posted to GSA-Student Records only if it contains material applicable to the GSA-Student Records audience. The use of GSA-Student Records to advertise job openings is strongly discouraged. Please use our resource, Career Connect for job postings.

Signature Block

All GSA-Student Records subscribers should create a signature block that includes their name, title, institution, address, telephone and fax numbers, and email address. This signature block should be included in all messages.
