2018 Group on Regional Medical Campuses (GRMC) Spring Meeting

This meeting is the leading professional development and networking event for leaders of regional medical campuses to share how they address challenges and develop successful strategies for meeting organizational goals. We hope that you will consider sharing your expertise and experiences with your peers in Washington.

The theme for this meeting will be, "Unleashing Faculty Potential: Recruit, Retain, Reward."

The Planning Committee is seeking a variety of session and poster types focusing on issues related to distributed medical education. Submissions on the following topics are particularly being sought (but are not limited to):

  • Curricular innovations and delivery
  • Faculty development 
  • Distance learning methods
  • Regional campus scholarship and research
  • Campus infrastructure models
  • Intra-institutional dynamics

Presentations for sessions will be accepted in two categories. Learn more about session and innovation proposal requirements .

  1. Sessions are 45-60 minute, in-depth presentations on a specific topic. The Program Planning Committee will determine the length of each session selected.
  2. Innovations are 15-minute presentations that will be clustered as: education, community-service, or research. (Sessions are typically 10 minutes of presentation plus 5 minutes of Q&A).

Posters will be accepted in two categories. Learn more about poster proposal requirements .

  1. Innovation poster abstracts should describe innovative programs, policies, projects, or practices that work well to that further educational activities and have the potential to impact the environment of the academic medical center.
  2. Research/Scholarly Activity poster abstracts should promote dissemination and discussion of completed or in progress research/scholarship either conducted on or describing regional medical campuses.
