NEGEA Collaborative Research Grant Proposals

The Northeast Group on Educational Affairs (NEGEA) supports and encourages scholarship in medical education. To help its members participate in opportunities that provide educational scholarship, the NEGEA provides funding to initiate new Medical Education Scholarship Research and Evaluation (MESRE – formerly RIME) proposals.

The NEGEA will provide multiple research grants for up to a two-year period. The grant award may total up to $3,000 for submissions involving one NEGEA institution and $6,000 for submissions involving the collaboration of two or more NEGEA-affiliated institutions. NEGEA also seeks to promote collaborative projects across institutions, and sections (UGME, GME, CME/CEI, and MESRE), and seeks to stimulate the development of a community of educational scholars. The results of these projects will be public and presented at a NEGEA regional meeting.

The call for proposals for the 2019 cycle is officially open. The deadline for submissions is September 27, 2019. Please review the grant proposal submission guidelines.
