Teleconference: Managing the Transition From Fee-For-Service to Population Health Management

Fiscal, administrative, operational, and planning professionals at Academic Medical Centers (AMC) play an indispensable role in improving the nation’s healthcare system which includes a shift towards value-based care. This new commitment to improving care has placed significant pressure on leaders to expand population health services while containing costs. As AMC’s devote more attention and resources to population health management it is imperative that operational leaders from across the country come together to share their experiences and strategies to better manage the transition from the fee-for-service to population health model. The GBA Emerging Issues Committee hosted a teleconference to examine the evolution of population health management and the expansion of ambulatory care networks, new opportunities, and the challenges involved. Sign-in to listen to the recording.
