Making Decisions in Uncertain Times: A Practical Session for Institutional Leaders
One of the challenges facing today’s leaders is how to make decisions in the face of so much uncertainty. Nonetheless, choices must be made so that institutions can respond and move forward. This will be an interactive session that will provide participants with tools that will better prepare them to lead their institutions through these times.

Academic Medical Centers Grow, Exploring the Opportunities of Working with Community Physicians
Many academic medical centers are acquiring or affiliating with community hospitals. These new relationships bring together academic and community physicians. This session will provide three brief case studies from institutions that have benefitted from these changes. Presenters will then engage in a moderated discussion among themselves and with the audience to explore issues more deeply.

Understanding and Addressing Physician Burnout
Physician burn-out is the hot topic of discussion in academic medical centers as the need for clinical productivity puts pressure on teaching and research, while state and federal governments add more and more requirements that take time away from patient care. This session will discuss how one institution has looked at the problem and the ways in which it is working to bring joy back to the practice of medicine.

New Partnerships and New Approaches - Creative Ideas for Succeeding in a Changing World
The University of Central Florida just celebrated its tenth anniversary. During that time, innovative partnerships have been a key factor in the success of the medical school. This session will look at disruptive approaches that has proven resulted in a successful medical school and many interesting and unexpected alliances.
