The AAMC Is Having a Contest
Fast forward 20 years. What do you think U.S. medical schools will look like in 2033? The AAMC is challenging our member medical schools to envision the innovations of tomorrow in academic medicine. We’re holding a video contest, asking teams to submit a two-minute video depicting any aspect of a medical school or medical education 20 years into the future.

Why We’re Doing This
This year’s AAMC Annual Meeting theme is "The Change Imperative." When we think about the future of academic medicine we know change is inevitable--but what will that look like? Who better to ask than those on the scene? This contest will provoke out-of-the-box-thinking, and to engage AAMC members in a fun and creative activity.

What You’ll Win: A Golden Ticket!
The school with the first place video will win a “Golden Ticket”, redeemable for one complimentary registration to eleven major AAMC meetings in 2014; a value of over $9,000! Second place wins a complimentary one-year subscription to Academic Medicine. Third place wins a publications package, including the Handbook of Medical Education: How Medical Schools and Teaching Hospitals Work, and the AAMC Data Book.

Additionally, the three finalists will be recognized in various communication tools and messaging throughout the Learn Serve Lead: The AAMC 2013 Annual Meeting, Nov. 1-6 in Philadelphia. The first, second, and third place winning videos will be announced and awarded at the annual meeting session, "Light-years Beyond Flexner: Academic Medicine in 2033", on Nov. 5, 2013 at 9:30 a.m.
