AAMC IDEAS: Disability Representation and Inclusion within Academic Medicine
Join us throughout April for this dynamic four-part webinar series featuring members of the disability community and disability experts from across the continuum. Panelists will discuss approaches to increase the representation and inclusion of students and faculty with disabilities across research, classroom, and clinical environments.
Grant Writes Coaching Group for NIH Awards
June 12, 2024 in Chicago, IL
This program complements existing support for faculty who are actively working on an NIH Career Development (K or R) proposal. The target audience includes faculty who are underrepresented in medicine, however all faculty, regardless of race or ethnicity, are welcome to apply. Applications are due April 22.
AAMC, NMA Announce Illinois Black Men in Medicine Innovation Grant
The Action Collaborative for Black Men in Medicine and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois’ Institute for Physician Diversity® are now accepting applications for this grant that aims to address the critical shortage of Black male physicians. Applications are due April 30, 2024.
Restorative Justice in Academic Medicine (RJAM) Facilitator Training
August 21-23, 2024 in Washington, DC
This training welcomes participants who would like to learn a relational framework to navigate difficult issues and effectively respond to harm in ways that support active accountability and prevention of future harms. Registration will open in May.
