Q. What is the purpose of the Curriculum Inventory?

A.

The Curriculum Inventory is designed to serve as the premier benchmarking and reporting tool on content, structure, delivery, and assessment of medical school curricula. It will help AAMC-member institutions identify and benchmark their school against others with similar characteristics by combining curriculum information with demographic data.

As a central repository, the Curriculum Inventory will gather medical school curriculum data from curriculum management systems already in use at many institutions, streamlining and simplifying data entry and collection for schools across the U.S. and Canada.
