Q. Since clerkships have multiple iterations, should tagging be completed multiple times per year OR should a clerkship be tagged for the first iteration only since the material is the same for each other iteration?

A.

For an intuition’s own purposes regarding documenting curriculum and ensuring comparability across rotations and sites, each iteration of the clerkship should be documented. For the CI, only one iteration is needed. Any 1 of the 6 iterations can be uploaded, or it also possible to have the system randomly choose one. Some schools create a ‘model’ clerkship that they upload to the CI to avoid trying to figure out a system approach. Other schools upload all iterations, and we have to figure out how to choose one in our reports. We do not yet have a solution for that, and have to work with the data manually.
