CEI Learning from Teaching Webinar Overview

With the engagement and implementation of Learning from Teaching rapidly increasing, a webinar was created to describe the program and to answer questions from the CME and preceptor community.

In this webinar, Barbara E. Barnes, M.D., M.S., Assoc. Dean for Continuing Medical Education and Assoc. Vice Chancellor for Continuing Education and Industry Support, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, explores the purpose and the pilot of this initiative through the evolution of an idea to the pilot program and the current engagement process. Alejandro Aparicio, M.D., Director of the Division of Continuing Physician Professional Development, American Medical Association, discusses the learning and the teaching components regarding recognizing preceptor professional development and the credit calculation process. Marcia K. Martin, Manager of Provider Education and Outreach, Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, presents notes on the documentation process and other tools and resources. The webinar concludes with the panelists responding to questions posed by the participants.
