In November, GIA opens a call for nominations for the following Steering Committee officer roles:
- Chair-elect
- Vice Chair for Alumni Relations and Development
- Vice Chair for Communications, Marketing, and Public Affairs
The GIA Nominating Committee encourages nominations of GIA members who are known to be broad and strategic thinkers, team players, and consensus builders. Individuals having demonstrated such characteristics will work to lead the Steering Committee, ensure that GIA members feel included in and served by GIA programs and activities, and represent institutional advancement to AAMC and the academic medicine community. Diversity of candidates will also be considered. By diversity, we mean the term in its broadest sense, including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, gender, background, experience, subject matter expertise, title, and institution (e.g., public/private, size, geographic location).
Nominees should have no other national volunteer roles that create conflicts of priority and interest.
