    We invite you to register for our first joint conference, a collaboration between NEGEA, NEGSA, and NEOSR April 9-11, 2025, that unites medical education professionals across the Northeast. By bringing together these three affinity groups, we are creating a unified engaging space that aims to build dialogue—where networking goes beyond typical interactions and connections are forged to shape the future of our field.

    Session Types

    Research in Medical Education, Student Support, and Advising Abstract Proposal (poster or oral Presentation) 

    • Purpose: Includes works to promote dissemination and discussion of research and its application to medical education, student support, and advising.  

    Innovations in Medical Education, Student Support, and Advising (poster or oral presentation) 

    • Purpose: Includes works to promote dissemination and discussion of scholarly innovations and their application to medical education, student support, and advising.  

    Workshops 

    • Purpose: Workshops are skill-oriented, interactive experience for participants which will allow them to take home specific knowledge and skills. 

    Panel Discussions 

    • Purpose: Panel discussions examine diverse perspectives and approaches to educational, student support, and advising subjects or issues. Presentations demonstrating collaborative work from multiple departments or institutions are especially encouraged.

    Pre-Conference Workshops 

    This year we are offering several skills-building workshops (No additional cost but limited space and first-come-first serve basis), designed to complement our main conference.  

    Scheduled for Wednesday, April 9th in the morning or early afternoon before the opening plenary, these sessions will provide targeted professional development and innovative learning strategies. Session-specific times will be published by mid-February. This interest form is exclusively for pre-conference workshops, with main conference registration on a separate platform (indicated above). 

    There will be an additional pre-conference session hosted by GSA PDI group, "Transforming Medical Education: Bridging Curriculum and Student Support through Collaboration". This session is at cost and registration is offered within the main conference registration questionnaire.

    • "What Do We Do Now?": Using the Science of Belonging to Address Challenges in the Current DEI Environment in Medical Education 
      Focuses on promoting a culture of belonging in challenging DEI environments 

    Northeast Student, Resident, Fellow Pre-course 

    The Student, Resident, and Fellow Pre-Course is a dynamic educational program designed specifically for learners eager to deepen their understanding of medical education principles and career pathways. This immersive and engaging experience promotes curiosity, fosters collaboration, and encourages exploration among individuals with a passion for advancing medical education. 

    Learning Objectives:  

    1. Network with peers and faculty with interests in medical education. 
    2. Describe key foundational skills for teaching and learning. 
    3. Discuss the importance of mentorship for one’s professional development and career advancement.
