The Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) Health Information Technology (HIT) Standards Committee will meet via webinar to discuss recommendations on the Precision Medicine Task Force, the 2015 Certification Rule, and Meaningful Use Stage 3 and Modification Rule.

Nov 3: E&C Health Subcommittee Hearing Medicare and Medicaid
10:15 a.m.; 2123 Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee will hold a hearing to discuss legislation to improve the Medicare and Medicaid entitlement programs. A full witness list and agenda will be posted to the committee’s website when available.

Nov 3: W&M Health Subcommittee Hearing on the Status of ACA’s CO-OP Program
2 p.m.; 1100 Longworth House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The Ways and Means Health Subcommittee will hold a hearing on the status of the Consumer Operated and Oriented Plan (CO-OP) Program, established under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). A full witness list and agenda will be posted to the committee’s website when available.

The Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee will hold a markup to discuss various pieces of legislation regarding synthetic drugs, mental health, and the Medicaid entitlement program, among others. A list of bills expected to be discussed is available on the committee’s website.

Nov 5: E&C Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee Hearing on ACA’s CO-OP Insurance Loans

10 a.m.; 1300 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, D.C.
The Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MEDPAC) will hold a public meeting to discuss Medicare issues and policy questions and to develop and approve reports and recommendations to Congress. An agenda is available on the commission’s website.
