April 1: House Subcommittee Hearing on FDA Generic Drug Labeling

The House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee will hold a hearing to examine the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) proposed changes to generic drug labeling.

April 2: Senate Subcommittee Hearing on NIH Budget Proposal
10 a.m.; 192 Dirksen Senate Office Building
The Senate Appropriations Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies Subcommittee will hold a hearing on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) proposed fiscal year (FY) 2015 appropriations for agencies, programs, and activities under its jurisdiction. NIH Director Francis Collins, M.D., Ph.D. is scheduled to testify.

April 3-4: MedPAC Meeting
Time: TBA; 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.
The Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) will hold a public meeting. When available, MedPAC will solicit comments on the agenda via its website.

April 4: PCAST Meeting
9:30 a.m.; 2101 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.
The President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) will meet to discuss its work on antibiotic resistance, big data and privacy issues, and analytical techniques to support public policy decision making, among other issues. A full agenda will be posted on its website when available.
