March 25: House Subcommittee Public Witness Hearing on FY 2015 Budget

The House Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee will hear testimony from public and outside witnesses on the proposed fiscal year (FY) 2015 appropriations for agencies, programs, and activities under its jurisdiction.

March 26: Health IT Standards Committee Meeting
9 a.m.; Teleconference/Webinar
The Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology (HIT) Standards Committee will meet via webinar to discuss standards implementation specifications and certification criteria for the electronic exchange of health information.

March 26: House Subcommittee Hearing on Biomedical Research
10:00 a.m.; 2358-C Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee will hold an oversight hearing on the future of biomedical research. Witnesses include: National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins, M.D., Ph.D. and National Cancer Institute Director Harold Varmus, M.D., among others.

March 26: Senate Committee Hearing on Medicare Fraud
2:15 p.m.; 562 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The Senate Special Aging Committee will hold a hearing on how to protect seniors from Medicare fraud.

March 27: House Subcommittee Hearing on NSF Budget Proposal
10 a.m.; H-309 Capitol Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Appropriations Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Subcommittee will hold a hearing to examine funding for the National Science Foundation (NSF) in President Obama’s fiscal year (FY) 2015 budget proposal. NSF Acting Director Cora Marrett is expected to testify.

March 27: House Subcommittee Hearing on VA Budget Proposal
1:30 p.m.; 2359 Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Appropriations Military Construction, Veteran Affairs, and Related Agencies Subcommittee will hold a hearing on the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) budget in President Obama’s fiscal year (FY) 2015 budget proposal. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki is expected to testify.
