The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) Board of Governors will meet via webinar. The webinar is open to the public, though no public comment period is scheduled.

Jan. 28: State of the Union Address

President Barack Obama will deliver the State of the Union address, which will be streamed live on the White House Web site.

Jan. 29: Friends of AHRQ Briefing Commemorating the 15th Anniversary
12 p.m.; 1 Constitution Ave, N.E., Washington, D.C.
The AAMC is cohosting a Friends of AHRQ briefing commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. The briefing will feature the agency’s contributions to health services research and Friends of AHRQ will release a report entitled, “AHRQ: 15 Years of Transforming Care and Improving Health.”

Jan. 31: PCAST Meeting
9 a.m.; 2101 Constitution Avenue N.W., Washington, D.C.
The President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) will meet on Jan. 31. The agenda will be posted on the PCAST Web site when it is available.

Jan. 31: NIH Council of Councils Meeting
9:45 a.m.; 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, Md.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Council of Councils will meet to review grant applications and provide updates on Phase 2 Common Fund Planning, among other items. The council advises the NIH director and acts as an external advisory panel to the NIH Institute and Centers (IC) directors.
