Sept. 16: NIH ACD Teleconference on BRAIN Initiative

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Advisory Committee to the Director (ACD) will hold a public teleconference to discuss the interim report of the Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) working group and findings of the HeLa Genome Data Access Working Group.

Sept. 18: HIT Standards Meeting

The Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology (HIT) Standards Committee will meet via webinar to discuss standards implementation specifications and certification criteria for the electronic exchange of health information.

Sept. 19: Senate Hearing on HEA Reauthorization
10 a.m.; 430 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee will hold a hearing on the reauthorization of the Higher Education Act (HEA).

Sept. 19-20: MACPAC Meeting
9 a.m.; 1300 Pennsylvania Ave. N.W., Washington, D.C.
The Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC) will meet Sept. 19-20. The agenda will be available on the MACPAC website, where they also accept public comments.

Sept. 20-21: PCORI Advisory Panel Meetings
7:30 a.m.; 2401 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI)’s Advisory Panel on Patient Engagement Meeting will hold a two day meeting in Washington, D.C. The Advisory Panel on Assessment of Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment Options will meet Sept. 21. Members of the public are invited to listen in on both meetings via teleconference, but no public comment period is scheduled.
