April 22-23: HRSA ACICBL Meeting
8:30 a.m.; 5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, Md.
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)’s Advisory Committee on Interdisciplinary, Community-Based Linkages (ACICBL) will meet to discuss the committee’s 13th report, which will focus on the working topic, “Optimizing the Interprofessional Team Member's Contributions to Population Health.” The agenda will be posted two days prior to the meeting.  

April 23: Senate Hearing on Primary Care Workforce
10 a.m.; 430 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Subcommittee on Primary Health and Aging will hold a hearing entitled, “Successful Primary Care Programs: Creating the Workforce We Need.” Among others, witnesses include Paul Cunningham, M.D., F.A.C.S., dean and senior associate vice chancellor for medical affairs at the Brody School of Medicine; and Bruce Koeppen, M.D., Ph.D., founding dean of the Frank H. Netter, M.D. School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.

April 24: Senate Subcommittee Hearing on President’s FY14 HHS Budget Request
10 a.m.; 138 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.

The Senate Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies (Labor-HHS) Appropriations Subcommittee will hear testimony from Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Kathleen Sebelius regarding the president’s FY 2014 budget request.

April 24: Senate Hearing on National Plan for Alzheimer’s Disease
2 p.m.; 106 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The Senate Special Aging Committee is expected to hold a hearing to discuss a proposed national plan for addressing Alzheimer’s disease.

April 25: House Subcommittee Hearing on President’s FY14 HHS Budget Request
10 a.m.; 2358-C Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies (Labor-HHS) Appropriations Subcommittee will hear testimony from Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Kathleen Sebelius regarding the president’s FY 2014 budget request.
