The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) will hold a special Board of Governors public webinar/teleconference to review and consider for approval PCORI’s 2012 audit. Additional details will be posted prior to the event. Members of the public can register to listen in and view the webinar; however there will not be a public comment period.

The House Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies (Labor-HHS) Appropriations Subcommittee will hold a public witness hearing.
March 13: House Hearing on ACA’s Impact on Jobs

The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health will hold a hearing entitled, “Obamacare’s Impact on Jobs.” Witnesses to be announced. The hearing will also be available via webcast.

The Joint Economic Committee will hold a hearing entitled, "Flirting with Disaster: Solving the Federal Debt Crisis."

March 14: House Hearing on Approaches to Foster Economic Growth

The House Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies (Labor-HHS) Appropriations Subcommittee will hold an oversight hearing entitled, “Regulatory Approaches to Foster Economic Growth. Witnesses to be announced.

March 14: HIT Policy Meeting
10 a.m.; Webinar
The Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) Health Information Technology (HIT) Policy Committee will meet via webinar and teleconference to discuss recommendations to the National Coordinator for Health IT on a policy framework for the development and adoption of a nationwide health information infrastructure, including standards for the exchange of patient medical information.

March 15: PCAST Meeting
9 a.m.; 500 5th Street N.W., Washington, D.C.
The President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) will meet on March 15. In addition to a session about turning reports into action, the group is tentatively scheduled to hear remarks from past PCAST chairs, and discuss graduate education among other items.
