The House Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Health Care, District of Columbia, Census and the National Archives will hold a hearing to examine the impact of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on doctors and patients.

July 10: HIT Policy Committee Meeting
10 a.m.; 1143 New Hampshire Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.
The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (HIT) policy committee will meet to discuss recommendations to the National Coordinator for Health IT on a policy framework for the development and adoption of a nationwide health information infrastructure, including standards for the exchange of patient medical information.

July 10: House Hearing on Implications of Supreme Court Decision on ACA

The House Ways and Means Committee will hold a hearing to discuss the implications of the Supreme Court’s ruling that the individual mandate in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is constitutional on the grounds that it is a tax. The hearing will focus on the Court’s interpretation of Congress’ taxing authority and how it might affect future congressional actions.
