May 22: MACPAC Meeting
10:30 a.m.; One Massachusetts Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.
The Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC) will meet to discuss Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation initiatives; Medicaid access, quality, and value; data sources for measuring access to care for Medicaid and CHIP; activities and recommendations of the HRSA Negotiating Rulemaking Committee on Medically Underserved Areas (MUAs) and Health Professions Shortage Areas (HPSAs); and other items. The agenda is subject to change.

May 23: Senate Hearing on Progress in Health Care Delivery
10:00 a.m.; 215 Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The Senate Finance Committee will hold a hearing entitled “Progress in Health Care Delivery: Innovations from the Field.” Senators will hear testimony from Richard Migliori, M.D., executive vice president of health services, UnitedHealth Group; Lee Sacks, M.D., chief medical officer, Advocate Health Care; Marc Malloy, president and chief executive officer, Renaissance Medical Management; and Paul Diaz, president and chief executive officer, Kindred Healthcare.  The hearing also will be webcast.

May 24: Health IT Standards Committee Meeting
9:00 a.m.; 1221 22nd Street, N.W., Washington, D.C.
The Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology (HIT) Standards Committee will meet to discuss standards implementation specifications and certification criteria for the electronic exchange of health information.

May 25: PCAST Meeting
9:00 a.m.; 775 12th Street N.W., Washington, D.C.
The President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) will meet to provide participants with updates on several studies, including the Future of the U.S. Science and Technology Research Enterprise, among other items.
