The House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology Subcommittee on Technology and Innovation will hold a hearing to examine the effect of federal policies on competition, innovation, and job growth in the U.S.

March 28: Senate Appropriations Hearing on NIH Budget
10:00 a.m.; 124 Dirksen Senate Office Building; Washington, D.C.
The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies will hear testimony from National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Francis Collins, M.D., Ph.D., and several institute and center directors regarding the fiscal year (FY) 2013 budget for the NIH.

March 29: House Public Witness Hearing
9:00 a.m.; 2358-C Rayburn House Office Building, Washington, D.C.
The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies will hear testimony from invited public witnesses. The list of witnesses is expected to be posted on the subcommittee’s website.

March 29: House Subcommittee Hearing on Federally Funded Research

The House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology Subcommittee on Investigations and Oversight will hold a hearing to discuss federally funded research, examine public access and interest in scholarly publication.
