The AAMC provided comments on the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s Request for Information Regarding Learning Healthcare Systems (LHS). The AAMC focused its comments on the following four domains derived from the experiences of large teaching hospitals and health systems across the U.S.: 1) LHSs utilizing their own data; 2) LHSs ensuring evidence is applied consistently throughout the organization; 3) LHSs utilizing metrics; and 4) LHSs involving patients and families.
