    AHRQ Director Khanna Delivers Remarks at the National Advisory Council Meeting

    The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) July 26 held its National Advisory Council Meeting. At the meeting, AHRQ Director Gopal Khanna shared his vision for the agency. He noted that moving forward, AHRQ will increase efforts to better understand health systems data and help determine how to best use data to improve patient quality and safety. Additionally, he stated that AHRQ is committed to helping health systems evolve into learning health systems, and is focused on development of promising systematic approaches and understanding unmet needs. Finally, Khanna added that the agency is looking to identify new partnerships and innovative strategies that could effectively increase the uptake of scientific evidence into practice.
