On Wednesday, April 12, 2017, the Group on Student Affairs- Committee on Admissions (COA) and Committee on Student Diversity Affairs (COSDA) hosted the webinar Creating a Welcoming Environment for Gender Diversity in Medical School Admissions to engage schools in thoughtful conversation regarding effective practices for using the new gender identity data element in their admissions process. During this 75-minute webinar, representatives from AAMC member institutions discussed steps they have taken to create safe, welcoming environments for students with diverse gender identities and expressions.
