- Educating suppliers about best practices to engage with the AAMC.
- Providing networking opportunities for suppliers and AAMC business leaders.
- Identifying suppliers for sourcing opportunities.
- Representing the AAMC in the small and diverse-owned business community.

What it means to be a small or diverse-owned supplier at the AAMC
The AAMC welcomes direct relationships with small businesses and businesses owned by minorities, women, veterans, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, people with disabilities, and other underrepresented groups that can help the AAMC achieve its mission “to improve the health of people everywhere.” If your company qualifies, register with the AAMC today!
Small business supplier eligibility
Similar to the federal government, the AAMC considers small businesses as those that meet the U.S. Small Business Administration size standards.
Diverse-owned supplier eligibility
Similar to the federal government, the AAMC considers diverse-owned businesses as those that are 51% or more owned and controlled by one or more socially and economically marginalized people. The AAMC recognizes socially and economically marginalized people to include people of color, women, veterans, people with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Small or diverse-owned supplier certifications
The AAMC encourages suppliers to become certified as small or diverse-owned businesses. Among other federal, state, and local government agencies, the following organizations are among those that offer small or diverse-owned business certifications:
- National Minority Supplier Development Council
- Women’s Business Enterprise National Council
- National Veteran Business Development Council
- National Veteran-Owned Business Association
- National LGBT Chamber of Commerce
