The Artificial Intelligence Competencies for Medical Educators, developed by the Central Group on Educational Affairs Faculty Development Special Interest Group, respond to AI’s increasing impact on teaching, learning, and health care. Created through an AI competency literature synthesis, this framework shaped a national webinar series and can serve as a tool for designing programs, assessing progress, and guiding institutional strategy. Its flexible, categorized format ensures accessibility for educators at all AI skill levels. By offering a scalable, innovative model for faculty and professional development, it promotes informed integration of AI into medical education and helps faculty gain a broader perspective of their AI skills and knowledge.
