The ERAS Integrity Promotion ProgramOver the past few years, an increasing number of fraudulent application complaints have been reported to ERAS by training programs. Neither applicants nor programs benefit from unethical behavior in the application process; and to the extent possible, ERAS discourages this behavior. ERAS has launched the Integrity Promotion Program to encourage integrity in the process of applying to training programs and to promote high standards in those applying for physician training positions. The ERAS Integrity Promotion Program has two components: Education Program - this component is intended to educate ERAS users about ethical application behavior as well as outline irregular behavior considered unethical that could lead to an investigation. Investigations Program - this program outlines the steps in the process of an investigation and the possible consequences for a positive finding. The AAMC requires applicants to present accurate and current information during all phases of application for physician training programs. It is the policy of the AAMC to investigate attempts to subvert the application process, and any other irregular activities that occur in connection with application activities. |
