What's New for ERAS 2010?
ERAS welcomes five (5) new residency specialties for ERAS 2010:
- Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (December Application
Cycle)
- Hospice and Palliative Medicine (December Application Cycle)
- Pediatric Critical Care Medicine (July Application Cycle)
- Pediatric Endocrinology (December Application Cycle)
- Pediatric Infectious Diseases (December Application Cycle)
Specialties following the ERAS July application cycle will recruit
fellows that will begin training in July 2010. Specialties following
the ERAS December application cycle will recruit fellows that will begin
training in July 2011.
Season Start for Applicants
ERAS 2010 opens on July 1, 2009 for all applicants to begin work on
their applications; however, the timeline for applying to programs is
modified based on the type of programs to which you are applying. Beginning
on July 1, 2009, fellowship applicants may apply to July application
cycle fellowship programs only. Applicants applying to December
application cycle programs will be able to transmit applications beginning
November 15, 2009.
EFDO On-Line Services
EFDO On-line Services is a feature exclusively for medical residents
applying to fellowship programs. The EFDO is the designated dean's office
to U.S. medical school graduates and international medical school graduates
applying to fellowship programs.
At this site, applicants will be able to:
- Upload Documents
- Complete an On-line Document Submission Form (DSF)
- Verify Receipt of Documents by the EFDO
To access this site, go to the Documents Section in MyERAS twenty-four
(24) hours from the time you registered your token and click on the EFDO
On-line Services link. While the upload feature is optional, the EFDO
encourages you to utilize this feature provided online to streamline and
