Accessing the Online Advisor Information System
Are you new to the online Advisor Information System?
1. Register with the AAMC as an Official Health Professions Advisor (OHPA)
by providing the following documentation:
- A completed OHPA Registration Form (PDF,
1 page - 109 KB)
- A letter, on institution letterhead, from your president or provost
designating you as an Official Health Professions Advisor

2. Once you are registered as an OHPA, you may enter the AIS
if you already have an AAMC User Name and Password. If you do not have
a User Name and Password, you must use an Access Code to set up a login.
This Access Code will be sent to you with a welcome letter once you are
registered as an OHPA. When you receive your Access Code, enter the AIS
and click "First time? Click here to register." This link appears below
the AIS Submit and Clear buttons. Follow the directions to set up your
User Name and Password.
3. You are now ready to use the Advisor Information System.
Have you changed your contact information or mover to a new institution?
If so, please complete a new OHPA Registration
Form (PDF, 1 page - 112 KB).
