The AAMC forges relationships and key partnerships with other professional organizations to strengthen the medical research infrastructure.

Ad Hoc Group for Medical Research Funding
A coalition in support of increased funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC)
Promotes the humane treatment of animals in science through a voluntary accreditation program.

Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP)
Protects the rights and welfare of research participants by fostering and advancing the ethical and professional conduct of persons and organizations that engage in research with human participants.

Coalition for the Advancement of Medical Research (CAMR)
Advocates for the advancement of breakthrough research and technologies in regenerative medicine—including stem cell research and somatic cell nuclear transfer—in order to cure disease and alleviate suffering.

Foundation for Biomedical Research (FBMR)
Dedicated to improving human and animal health by promoting public understanding and support for the humane and responsible use of animals in medical and scientific research.

Friends of the VA Medical Care and Health Research (FOVA)
Dedicated to ensuring that America's veterans receive high-quality health care.

National Association for Biomedical Research (NABR)
Advocates sound public policy that recognizes the vital role of humane animal use in biomedical research, higher education and product safety testing.

One Health Initiative
The collaborative efforts of multiple disciplines working locally, nationally, and globally to obtain optimal health for people, animals, plants and our environment.

Public Responsibility in Medicine & Research (PRIM&R)
Dedicated to creating, implementing, and advancing the highest ethical standards in the conduct of research.
