This program is designed to provide:

• Knowledge regarding design, conduct, and evaluation of clinical research
• An understanding of issues of data collection and study management
• An understanding of ethical issues regarding human subjects use in clinical research
• Knowledge regarding operational paths within the UAB research infrastructure
• Introduction to the fundamentals of NIH grant writing and preparation
