Related Quality Programs
CMS/Premier Pay for Performance Demonstration
Project participants will be eligible for increased Medicare payments
for delivering high quality care as well as identifying new ways
to continuously improve the care provided patients. Bonuses to hospitals
will be based on quality measures associated with specific clinical
conditions: heart attack, heart failure, hip and knee replacement,
pneumonia, and coronary artery bypass graft. Over 200 hospitals

Bridges to Excellence Program
A coalition of physicians, health plans, and large employers have
launched this program to tie physician incentive payments to performance.
The effort will initially focus on three areas: diabetes care, cardiovascular
care and patient care management systems. The first set of payments
