Registration for Residency and Fellowship Programs Only
FindAResident strives to be an important partner with residency programs
in the recruitment process. We encourage you to register with our service
for free! Registration is one time only. FindAResident offers a host of
features to help you manage your account:
- Customizable search engine
- Personalized position descriptions
- Private mailbox
To register as a user for an ACGME accredited residency or fellowship
program:
- Request an acces code using the form below, or by e-mail (be sure to
include program name, specialty and 10-digit ACMGE
ID, if known).
- FindAResident will send you an access code after confirming your
ACGME accreditation.
- Go to FindAResident
Login page and click on the "Register" link.
- Mark the button beside "Residency Program Staff" and enter in your
assigned access code.
- Confirm your program information as listed (applicants reference this
information to contact you).
- Complete the required information with your personal information (not
viewable by applicants). You will be asked to enter your personal AAMC
ID. If you do not have or cannot recall your AAMC ID, enter your birth
information to assign your unique 8-digit AAMC ID.
- Create your own user name and password for future logins. This login
information will set up a single account that you can use to login to
other AAMC services as well.
- Click "Submit."
This will be your login information for future sessions with FindAResident.
If you would like anyone else to be able to access this program, just
give him or her the access code and they can complete the same procedure.
Request an Access Code to Register with FindAResident
(ACGME accredited programs)
Please do not use this form if you are an applicant. If you are an
applicant, go to the applicants
registration page to register for FindAResident.
To register as a user for a Non-ACGME accredited residency or fellowship
program:
Non-ACGME accredited programs must contact FindAResident at findaresident@aamc.org
with the following information:
- Program name
- Sponsoring Institution
- Program Director name and e-mail address
- Program address, phone and fax
- Specialty
- Accreditation agency name
- Primary contact (name, phone, and e-mail address)
FindAResident staff will contact you directly once your registration
eligibility is confirmed.
After FindAResident has sent you an access code:
- Go to FindAResident
Login page and click on the "Register" link.
- Mark the button beside "Residency Program Staff" and enter in your
assigned access code.

- Complete the required information with your personal information
