DWS Training

ERAS offers Dean's Office Workstation (DWS) training sessions in Washington, DC beginning in June of each season, for medical school staff responsible for utilizing the ERAS software.

The DWS training sessions cover the entire life cycle of an ERAS application. During the training session, attendees will:

Create an application in MyERAS.
Track it through ADTS.
Attach documents in the DWS.
See a test application displayed in the residency program software.

Sessions will include hands-on instruction and exercises aimed at giving the user the information needed to support applicants through the entire ERAS process.

Who should attend the DWS Training?

DWS training sessions are designed for any school staff responsible for operating the Dean's Office Workstation software (DWS). All medical school staff new to ERAS are encouraged to attend the training sessions. These instructor based step-by-step training sessions will not be conducted on an advanced level.

How can I register for the training?

Registration Now Open!
Registration is open for the ERAS 2010 Training Season. Visit the ERAS Training Sessions Web site to select a date, location and complete registration.

Note: There is no fee to attend the DWS Training, however, registration is required in order to attend.

Cancellation Policy

Notice of cancellation must be received by our office in writing, by contacting Carlos La Torre at clatorre@aamc.org. Refunds will be granted if the request is received seven (7) days prior to the training. Cancellations received less than seven (7) days before the training will result in the forfeiture of the entire registration fee. Fees that have been forfeited will not be applied to subsequent years.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If sessions do not meet minimum registration requirements of at least 8 participants, you may be asked to move to another session or the session may be canceled. Upon receipt of payment, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. This confirmation is not a notification that we have reached the 8 participant minimum requirement. Participants will be notified separately when we have met the minimum registration requirement. Please look for this notification prior to booking nonrefundable flights. Once the maximum registration limit for each session is reached, that session is closed and there will be no waitlist.
